[ It took Anya more time than she would've liked to make the delivery, because the first batch she'd made had been an abysmal mess, and the second had somehow been even worse, but as they say: third time's the charm. And as such, Widowmaker recieves a truly excellent basket full of croissants and pain au chocolat early one morning. Perhaps still not up to Widowmaker's standards, but Anya is still reasonably confident they're the best thing she's ever baked.

She leaves a short note tucked into the side of the basket that reads: These should go well with your morning coffee. -A ]

[They looked good, but Widowmaker was skeptical. Perhaps it was her admitted snobbishness regarding French pastries, but it could have just been her mood that day. She left the basket be until she had her evening cappuccino. Taking one pain au chocolat, she gave it a try. A few minutes later, it was gone along with half her drink. She then had one of the croissants. Once she was done with her drink, she pulled out her tome and wrote to Anya.]

You make excellent pain au chocolat, much to my surprise. The croissants were adequate.
